Kyiv City State Administration issued a statement denying reports that about 280 million UAH are currently being spent on a full restoration of the Central Palace of Marriages at Beresteiskyi Avenue, 11. According to KMDA, the roughly 280 million UAH figure reflects the total long-term cost of the project, not immediate works.

KMDA says the city will not undertake a large-scale restoration during wartime. For 2026 the budget includes 48.9 million UAH for the building, but those funds are being reviewed. Officials plan to keep only enough money for conservation measures to stop further deterioration and will redirect remaining resources to urgent city needs.

The administration says full reconstruction will be resumed after the war, when security and financial conditions allow. The Palace is a cultural heritage site; it was returned to the community in 2024 in a neglected state and suffered damage during a missile strike in April 2025.
