Kyiv City authorities reported on 30 September that emergency electricity cutoffs in Shevchenkivskyi and Holosiivskyi districts temporarily halted surface electric transport. The city administration message cited by local outlets said services in those areas were suspended while crews respond to outages.

Operator Kyivpastrans asked passengers to take the interruptions into account when planning trips. Separate social-media posts and a UNN report said parts of the metro were “dark” after the outages, but the metro operator has not confirmed which stations — or whether the reports reflect station-wide problems.

One Telegram channel tracking outages claimed roughly 30% of the city was currently without power, with the largest cuts in group 6.1; that figure has not been officially confirmed. Commuters should follow KMDA and Kyivpastrans channels for real-time updates and route alternatives.
