Valeriy Plehanov summed up Kyiv-Basket’s 89:82 away victory over Volyn in Lutsk by praising the result while criticizing the team’s on-court pattern. Plehanov thanked the players in the locker room but said Kyiv-Basket still has “many mistakes” in both attack and defence, and that conceding 82 points is not acceptable.

The coach noted the squad only began training late compared with other Superliga teams and expects three to five games before players fully understand one another and the team’s playing pattern improves. He singled out poor decisions that led to easy opponent points but credited the team’s character and defensive work once they executed their plans.

The Lutsk match was Plehanov’s debut after taking charge in the summer. Kyiv-Basket’s next game is scheduled for October 2 in Rivne against Rivne Dream, with a 17:30 Kyiv-time tip-off.
