Work has begun in Bila Tserkva on a new residential quarter intended primarily for people who were displaced from Mariupol. Authorities say the project, carried out under the government programme “My Home. Ukraine,” will include 1,187 apartments distributed over 44 residential sections and should accommodate about 3,000 residents.

Planned on-site features include social infrastructure, public spaces and reinforced shelters. Officials also announced state support for rental payments for vulnerable categories of residents. The start-of-construction ceremony included representatives from the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories, Kyiv Regional State Administration, the Mariupol Military-Civilian Administration, Bila Tserkva city authorities and the Association of Ukrainian Cities.

Local officials describe the quarter as housing for people who lost their homes because of the war; further implementation and timelines were not detailed in the source report.
