The Basketball Federation of Ukraine (FBU) has released the full list of participants and the competition format for the 2026/27 First League. The championship opens on 22 October 2026 with 26 teams divided into four regional groups: West, Northwest, Center and East. The Center and East groups will each include seven teams; the West and Northwest groups will each have six.
The first stage runs through January 2027. The top four teams from each first-stage group advance to a second stage arranged in two groups (Center and West); those groups will include qualifying teams from the other regions. In the second stage clubs play a double round-robin while retaining head-to-head results from the first stage. The four best teams from each second-stage group will reach the Final Eight. Teams finishing below fourth in their first-stage group continue in a single-round competition.
Kyiv representation on the published list includes Kyiv-Basket-2, Lokomotiv Kyiv, SDYUSSHOR Avangard (Kyiv) and Self Made (Kyiv). The FBU announcement is the source for these details; readers should check club and league channels for exact schedules and ticket information.
