Former Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Leonid Buryak spoke to Sport.ua on 3 October 2026 about the club’s start to the season. He pointed out that Dynamo sit fourth in the Ukrainian Premier League with 13 points, have kept four consecutive clean sheets and have advanced to the next round of the Ukrainian Cup.
Buryak said Dynamo currently field very few foreign players and that recent signings may take time to strengthen the squad. He argued that the club and its fans should expect more both in results and in the quality of play, noting that people attend matches for football and spectacle.
On Andriy Yarmolenko, Buryak called him an important national-team player and suggested younger teammates such as Redushko and Mykhavko should shape their play around him. He also described the upcoming Dynamo–Shakhtar Cup tie as unpredictable, stressing the special, knockout nature of cup football. (Interview published by Sport.ua.)
