Kyiv Kepitalz recorded an 8–2 road victory over Riga Prizma in the Baltic Hockey League regular season on 3 October. Kyiv opened the scoring in the first period through Deivids Sarkanis (04:06) and led 3–1 after the second period; the visitors then scored five goals in the third to pull away (final periods: 0:1, 1:2, 1:5).

Vitaliy Andreykiv was the game’s top contributor with seven points (1 goal, 6 assists). Sarkanis and Edvards Ugo Jansons each completed two-goal games; other Kyiv scorers included Olegs Shishlyannikovs, Kevins Stradnieks and Danilo Tsarkovskyi. Roberts Vitols scored Riga’s second-period goal and the hosts’ only remaining tally in the third (a short-handed goal).

The match was played in Riga as part of round 7 of the Baltic League and marked Kyiv’s fourth consecutive win under coach Oleh Tymchenko; Kyiv had also beaten Prizma 6–3 in their previous meeting.
