Pereiaslav hosted the open championship of Grigory Skovoroda University in sports tourism on 4 October 2026. The city’s team from the Pereiaslav Youth Tourists Station earned third place overall among school-age teams. Coaches Oksana Palatna and Inna Yarema prepared the group for the competition.

The programme included a walking obstacle course and a "figure riding" bicycle stage; there was also a creative contest. Individual results for Pereiaslav competitors included Danyil Dranyk (1st, obstacle course), Yevhen Bolilyy (2nd, obstacle course), Oleksandr Bobovskyi (2nd, figure bicycle driving) and Nazar Slutskyi (3rd, figure bicycle driving).

Organisers described the day as warm and friendly — with traditional tourist soup for participants — and coaches said the event was both a sporting test and an opportunity for experience exchange. The station also acknowledged that holding such competitions today is possible thanks to the protection provided by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
