Local officials in Bila Tserkva district say residents may hear loud explosions and see smoke on 6 October because of planned industrial blasting at the Bila Tserkva granite deposit in the Koshyk area.
The blasts are part of production works to loosen granite for crushed-stone output. The company TDV “Bilotserkivskyi Quarry” announced a scheduled explosion for the site; the local RDA warns the sounds can be heard beyond Bila Tserkva district.
Authorities say the activity will continue through the day and that explosive operations are expected to last until around 18:00. There is currently no aerial threat, and local administrators have asked residents to take the notice into account and remain calm.
