Two Ukrainian novels have new foreign editions. The Lithuanian edition of Sofia Andrukhovych’s Amadoka was released by the Centre for Science and Encyclopedic Publishing at the Martynas Mažvydas National Library, with a Lithuanian translation by Zita Marėnė and partial financing from the Ukrainian Book Institute. Amadoka, first published in Ukrainian in 2020 by Vydavnytstvo Staroho Leva, follows a wounded man who loses his memory and was designed visually by the Agraphka studio.

Separately, Anastasiia Pika’s novel The Last Case of Journalist Kronina was published in Macedonian by the Chudna Shuma press. The translation into Macedonian was completed by Vira Chornyi‑Meshkova as part of the “Planet of HOPE (New European Prose)” project co‑financed by the EU Creative Europe programme. Chornyi‑Meshkova has also translated other Ukrainian children’s and prose works into Macedonian and has taught Ukrainian language and literature in Skopje.

Both releases were reported by Chytomo and credit Ukrainian and European cultural programmes for supporting the translations and cross‑border publication work.
