State statistics reported in June 2026 show Kyiv’s information and telecommunications sector paid the highest average salaries — about ₴88,878 in the capital — far above the national average of ₴32,783. Finance, public administration and energy also ranked high, while health and social work remained among the lowest-paid sectors. New official figures for June 2026 show wide pay gaps between sectors in Kyiv. The information and telecommunications sector reported the highest average monthly pay in the capital at ₴88,878, compared with ₴77,931 for the same sector nationwide.

Across all sectors, the average nominal salary in Ukraine was ₴32,783 in June, while Kyiv’s overall average reached ₴48,393. Other high-paying areas in the capital included finance and insurance (₴69,403 in Kyiv versus ₴61,047 nationally), public administration and defense (₴71,158), and energy (supply of electricity, gas and related services at ₴57,755).

Sectors with lower averages included health and social work (₴31,843 in Kyiv; ₴22,274 nationally), education (₴32,060 in Kyiv) and hospitality (₴26,416 in Kyiv). The figures were reported by 24 Kanal based on state statistics for June 2026.
