Lytvyn Foundation launches Code The Future; first offline final held in Kyiv AI

Lytvyn Foundation has opened Code The Future, a series of AI-focused hackathons for 13–17 year-olds that culminated with an offline final in Kyiv. From nearly 500 applications, 193 teens entered the programme and 12 teams reached the Kyiv final; the top tech team won 50,000 UAH in store certificates. Kyiv hosted the in-person final, giving local and visiting teen teams a chance to present real AI solutions to Ukrainian businesses; participation in the foundation’s projects is free.

Lytvyn Foundation, founded by Kharkiv digital entrepreneur Volodymyr Lytvyn, has launched Code The Future, a series of hackathons for teens aged 13–17. Organisers say teams work on real briefs from active Ukrainian companies rather than simulated cases, developing AI-focused IT solutions and defending them before an expert jury.

Nearly 500 applications came in for the first event; 193 participants entered the programme and 12 teams advanced to an offline final in Kyiv. The jury prioritised practical business value, AI integration and UX rather than pure technical complexity. The team judged to have the best technological solution received 50,000 UAH in computer-parts store certificates from the foundation.

Code The Future is part of a wider free educational ecosystem run by the foundation, which also operates the MindCraft online business school (about 1,000 applications, 400 graduates, 89 defended business projects), a business club and incubator, and a youth sports-education programme in collaboration with Elina Svitolina’s foundation. Participation across the foundation’s projects is free.
