Pereiaslav city council voted unanimously on 20 August 2026 to grant the title Honorary Citizen of the Pereiaslav community to historian and local-studies specialist Lyudmyla Mykolaivna Nabok. The nomination was put forward by the National Historical-Ethnographic Reserve "Pereiaslav" (acting director Marina Navalna) and supported by letters from the rector of Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav, Vitalii Kotsur, and Bronislav Andriievskyi of the Kyiv regional society "Polisske zemliatstvo."
According to the council decision, Nabok will receive the formal resolution, a certificate, a specially made badge, and the ribbon of an Honorary Citizen. The presentation is traditionally held in September during city-day ceremonies. Nabok has spent more than 40 years researching Pereiaslavshchyna: her work covers attribution of architectural monuments, studies of academician V. H. Zabolotny, toponymy, histories of streets, necropolises, parks, and local family genealogies, much of it published in local periodicals.
The reserve hailed the council’s decision as a "justice of recognition," placing Nabok alongside earlier figures credited with preserving the region’s history. The reserve thanked the deputies for supporting the initiative and wished Nabok continued health and research successes.
