Dynamo Kyiv keeps faith in coach Ihor Kostyuk after European exit AI
Dynamo Kyiv’s management says Ihor Kostyuk will remain head coach and no replacement is being considered, general director Dmytro Bryf told the club site on Aug. 19. The statement follows Dynamo’s loss to Qarabag that knocked them out of Conference League qualifying. For Kyiv fans, the announcement means managerial continuity at Dynamo despite the club’s early European exit and the ongoing domestic season.
Dynamo Kyiv general director Dmytro Bryf told the club site that head coach Ihor Kostyuk retains a “credit of trust” from club president Ihor Surkis and that replacing the coach is not on the club’s agenda. The comments were reported by Champion, citing Dynamo.kiev.ua.
Bryf’s statement follows Dynamo’s defeat to Azerbaijani Qarabag last week, which eliminated the team from the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying stage and ended their European campaign for this season.
Kostyuk was appointed on December 17, 2025. Under his leadership last season Dynamo won the Ukrainian Cup and finished fourth in the Ukrainian Premier League.
