Pereiaslav city council voted on 20 August to divide an 18.76‑hectare municipal plot on Litypysna Street (adjacent to the open‑air museum) and put 1.8 ha up for auction for construction of a sports‑rehabilitation centre with hippotherapy. Sixteen deputies voted in favour after the project’s initiator, Anastasiia Bryzhan of the International Charity Fund “Eternal Values,” presented the concept.
According to the fund, financing comes from UNDP in Ukraine and private donors (including interest from Danish supporters). The planned facility includes stables, indoor and outdoor arenas, a hotel for families, physical‑rehab and massage rooms, a spa with pools for aqua‑rehabilitation, and a base for training a Paralympic dressage team. Rehabilitation for veterans will be provided free of charge; operating costs are expected to be covered by complementary commercial events.
The council ordered the city utility to prepare technical documentation within three months; the auction winner will be contractually obliged to build the centre to the specified purpose within approximately three years. The mayor, Vyacheslav Saulko, said the project requires no city budget funds and called it an important investment for the community.
