The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Ukraine, Davlatali Nazrizoda, visited Pereiaslav and met mayor Vyacheslav Saulko at the town hall on 21 August 2026. The ambassador was accompanied by embassy adviser Muhammad Egzamod and Viktor Vergunov, director of the National Scientific Agricultural Library of NAAS.
The delegation toured local historical sites including the Ascension (Voznesensky) Cathedral and a string of museums: the Memorial Museum of Hryhorii Skovoroda, the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of Taras Shevchenko’s “Zapovit,” the Mykhailivsky Cathedral complex, the Bread Museum, and the Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of the Middle Dnipro region.
Officials from the National Historical‑Ethnographic Reserve — acting director Marina Navalna, scholarly secretary Ihor Haidaienko, and archaeology department head Oleksandr Kolybenko — joined discussions on possible cultural, educational and scientific cooperation. The meeting ended with an exchange of gifts, a group photo, and an agreement to continue the dialogue on joint projects.
