Znaj.ua reports that the Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA) has announced strengthened social support for vulnerable residents ahead of the cold season. The initiative includes 24/7 monitoring and rapid response: social workers will coordinate home delivery of food, medicines and other essentials to elderly and mobility‑limited people rather than limiting aid to one‑off actions.
KMDA says it will also improve transport access by launching special routes when needed to help residents reach hospitals, social institutions or handle urgent household tasks. The plan includes psychological support and community measures to reduce winter isolation.
Residents, relatives or neighbours can request help through the Kyiv contact centre at 1551 (calls are free), their district social protection office, or local territorial social service centres. Required documents are listed, but KMDA says urgent requests will be acted on even without a complete packet of papers.
