Khreshchatyk closed; buses 62, 110, 111 and 114 rerouted AI

On the morning of 22 August Khreshchatyk was closed and Kyivpastrans and the KMDA introduced temporary changes to central bus routes. Buses 62, 110, 111 and 114 now run via Mykhailivska Square — Volodymyrska Street — Taras Shevchenko Boulevard; other services are using alternate city-center detours. Khreshchatyk is Kyiv’s central artery: expect detours, short trolleybus delays, and check Kyivpastrans official channels before travelling.

Kyivpastrans and the Kyiv City State Administration reported transport restrictions on Khreshchatyk on the morning of 22 August. The closure prompted immediate, temporary route changes for several bus lines.

According to the municipal notices, buses numbered 62, 110, 111 and 114 have been routed along a new path: Mykhailivska Square — Volodymyrska Street — Taras Shevchenko Boulevard. Other buses and minibuses are detouring around the closed section, commonly using Velyka Volodymyrska, Volodymyrska, Velyka Vasylkivska or Bohdana Khmelnytskoho streets.

Trolleybuses remain on their regular lines but may face short delays or temporary stops while Khreshchatyk is closed. Kyivpastrans urged passengers to follow official social networks for updates and to plan journeys in advance.
