Kyiv’s Patrol Police have announced temporary traffic restrictions and strengthened law-enforcement checks from 22 to 25 August 2026. Oleksii Bilshovytskyy, head of the Kyiv Patrol Police department, published the warning on the department’s official Telegram channel.

Authorities say the measures will affect the central part of the city and sections of Pecherskyi, Podilskyi, Solomianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts. Dozens of roads will be closed to drivers and pedestrians as foreign delegations arrive in Kyiv. The restrictions are planned to last four days and may cause significant detours.

Patrol Police ask residents and visitors to plan journeys in advance, change usual routes if needed, carry identity documents, and follow traffic rules. The force will announce the lifting of restrictions on its official channels.
