HBO has officially ordered a second season of the series It: Welcome to Derry. Producers plan to move the narrative back to 1935, using the Great Depression as the backdrop and enlarging the novel’s Bradley Gang episode into a full-season arc that explores a new cycle of violence in Derry.
Production changes are already planned: Brad Caleb Kane will serve as sole showrunner for season two, while Andy and Barbara Muschietti remain attached as key producers. The creators say the season will further probe Pennywise’s origins and the nature of the entity known as It, though the return of Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise has not been officially confirmed.
HBO has not yet announced a premiere date, shooting schedule, or a complete cast for the new episodes. Fans should watch for official release information from HBO and local streaming platforms for availability in Ukraine.
