The National Sanctuary Saint Sophia of Kyiv launched a virtual tour, the Ministry of Culture reported on 23 August 2026. The digital project was developed by the all‑Ukrainian eMuseum platform and makes the sanctuary’s grounds accessible to users worldwide.
The virtual route includes the Sofia Cathedral, the Sofia bell tower, the Refectory, the Metropolitan’s House, the Zaborovsky Gate and surrounding territory. The service pairs high-resolution visuals with audio guides and multimedia materials to introduce visitors to the site’s architecture and monumental painting dating from the early 11th century, a UNESCO World Heritage component.
The Ministry of Culture and the sanctuary say the tour helps broaden access to Ukraine’s cultural heritage. The virtual visit is available through the National Sanctuary’s online link; readers should check the official page for the direct link and any updated materials.
