Anticyclone Keeps Kyiv Dry and Mild Through August 29 AI

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center says an anticyclone will settle over Kyiv and the surrounding region from August 25–29, bringing mostly sunny, rain-free weather, light winds and comfortable daytime highs in the low to mid‑20s. Nights will be noticeably cooler, especially outside the city. Handy for planning outdoor plans this week: expect stable, rain‑free conditions, light wind and daytime temperatures around +23–25°C in the city.

Forecasters at the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center say a field of high atmospheric pressure from an anticyclone will dominate Kyiv and Kyiv region between 25 and 29 August. That setup should produce calm, largely uniform weather with no significant precipitation and only weak winds.

Across the region, nights may drop to +8…+13°C while daytime air will warm to roughly +21…+26°C, with 28–29 August possibly reaching +23…+28°C in some areas. Within Kyiv the centre expects a gentler swing: nightly lows around +15…+16°C and daytime highs near +23…+25°C. On 25 August forecasters specifically predict light variable winds (3–8 m/s) and only small cloud cover.
