Znaj.ua reports, citing the media outlet "Skilky-skilky" and data from the Main Department of Statistics in the city of Kyiv and the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, that consumer prices in Kyiv have risen 7.4% since the start of the year, compared with a 6.0% increase for the country as a whole.

The largest divergence is in transport services: costs in Kyiv increased by 66.7% year-to-date, while the nationwide rise was 25.7%, a difference exceeding 40 percentage points. Other categories in the capital have also outpaced national averages, including food (Kyiv +7.3% vs Ukraine +5.6%), non‑alcoholic drinks (+9.5% vs +5.7%), and communication (+15.4% vs +13.7%).

A few categories rose more slowly in Kyiv — for example, housing and utilities (+0.7% in Kyiv vs +3.6% nationally) — and clothing and footwear were the only items to fall (clothing -18% in Kyiv, shoes -5%).
