Pereiaslav’s hospital joined the national “Screening Health 40+” programme in June and by 26 August had screened more than 240 people. Staff run one‑day appointments that last about 60–90 minutes; the clinic currently averages five patients a day and bookings are filled through early September. Hospital management plans to add another doctor to increase capacity.

Physicians say the most common finding is elevated cholesterol: roughly 10% of those screened have normal cholesterol and an optimal body‑mass index, while the majority show excess weight. The free package includes risk questionnaires, blood pressure and anthropometry, ECG, a lipidogram, HbA1c, kidney function and electrolyte tests, and 10‑year cardiovascular risk assessment using SCORE2/SCORE2‑OP.

Blood samples are taken the same day and results arrive within 48–72 hours; doctors provide personalised recommendations, e‑prescriptions under the “Affordable Medicines” programme and referrals where needed. The screening does not cover oncological screening, ultrasound, CT or MRI. Services are available at Bohdana Khmelnytskoho 137 (Pereiaslav Multispecialty Hospital of Intensive Care and the Pereiaslav Primary Care Center).
