Girona reportedly kept a sell-on percentage but owned only 50% of Tsyhankov’s economic rights after his earlier move from Dynamo Kyiv. That means part of the guaranteed transfer fee—about €2 million—should go to Dynamo, according to the report. Tsyhankov played more than 100 official matches for Girona and will reunite at Ajax with coach Míchel Sánchez, under whom he enjoyed a strong spell in Spain.
