Dynamo Kyiv progressed to the 1/8 final of the Ukrainian Cup after a 1–0 win over Nyva Vinnytsia in the 1/16 round on 10 September 2026. Three players featured for the first time in Dynamo’s senior side: 18-year-old academy graduate Pavlo Lyusin, 20-year-old left defender Denys Dykyi, and 21-year-old Ivorian winger Keasse Ba.
Lyusin started the match and is a long-time Dynamo academy product who joined the club at age seven; he helped the club’s U19 side win the 2024/25 U19 championship and has appeared this season across the U19 and UPL-2 squads, totaling five appearances and three goals. Dykyi also started; he joined Dynamo’s system in 2021, returned from a season-long loan at Zorya, and this season has three appearances and one goal for the youth/reserve side. Keasse Ba made his debut after coming on for Eduardo Guerrero in the 69th minute, having joined Dynamo in early September from Swiss club Lausanne Ouchy.
