On 10 September Dynamo Kyiv beat Nyva Vinnytsia 1–0 in the 1/16 round of the 2026/27 Ukrainian Cup, Aliou Tiare scoring on the 50th minute. Dynamo Kyiv advanced from the 1/16 final of the 2026/27 Ukrainian Cup with a 1–0 away win over Nyva Vinnytsia on 10 September. The only goal came on the 50th minute from Senegalese defender Aliou Tiare, and goalkeeper Illya Olkhovyi played the full match without conceding.

Olkhovyi told Champion that the team had prepared for the difficulties of Vinnytsia’s artificial turf and that the pitch made it harder to play their usual football. He also said the team tightened up after a nervous first half, credited the coach’s halftime message and praised the atmosphere on the small Vinnytsia stadium for the support they received.
