Ukraine visited Georgia on 28 September 2026 in the second round of UEFA Nations League Division B and were held to a goalless draw. Head coach Andrea Maldera rotated heavily, making ten changes to the side that beat Hungary; goalkeeper Vanat was the only player to keep his starting spot.
Ukraine dominated possession before the break but, according to match reporting, lacked the cohesion to create clear chances. Maldera introduced several regulars after halftime — including Yaremchuk, Shaparenko, Ocheretko, Tsyhankov and Sikan — but the substitutes could not turn the game in Ukraine’s favour. Georgia registered more attempts and earned its first point in the group.
After two rounds Ukraine sit top of Group B2 with four points; Georgia have one point and occupy third place.
