On Tuesday 25 August a Volkswagen LT minibus on the Lutsk–Kyiv route overturned after colliding with a Chevrolet Aveo on the Kyiv–Chop road near Tsarivka at about 14:30. The driver of the car and six passengers from the minibus were taken to Zhytomyr regional hospital. The crash blocked traffic toward Kyiv at the 90 km mark of the Kyiv–Chop road; patrols organised reverse flow. Check routes if you travel the Lutsk–Kyiv corridor.
A new flower exhibition called “Purring Ukraine” opens in Kyiv’s Spivoche (Song Field) on Lavrska Street. The show runs 21 August–20 September, features large cat-shaped floral installations, themed photo zones and tens of thousands of seasonal blooms; tickets start from 250 UAH.
